Our Mission: To awaken the world to the wonders of all of our beautiful differences. To spread the awareness that all of us are the same in our desires for a good home, food, safety and the comfort of being accepted regardless of appearance and/or beliefs. With that awareness comes the joy of embracing all that others different from ourselves have to offer us in endless numbers of ways!

Who are we? Four friends who decided to combine their talents and skills to make a difference.

Dr. Leo Parvis, a Christian Persian Democrat, teaches cultural diversity at Dunwoody College of Technology. He serves on the Board of the League of Minnesota Human Rights Commissions, and the Chaska (Minnesota) Human Rights Commission. Dr. Parvis is a member of the National Association of Multicultural Education, the National Association of Ethnic Studies, and the International Leadership Institute. He is a diversity consultant, speaker, and writer, currently working on diversity curriculum for various age levels.

Julie K. Parvis, is an award-winning marketing diva and writer who is an overweight Lutheran Democrat, with a Scandinavian, Native American, Syrian, Basque, Irish, English (and probably more!) background with a life full of an amazing array of diverse friends and family.

Terresa J. Long, is an entrepreneur with creative flair and a focus on promotion. A Protestant Republican originally from the rural mid-West, she has lived in 7 of our 50 states and visited many of the others. She loves the diverse world of the multi-cultural east coast she calls home.

Bob Steinbach, a Jewish Republican, rounds out our group with his own varied experiences, business acumen and advertising strengths.  He enjoys cooking and experiencing interesting cuisine from around the world.

We four friends decided it was time to get serious about our strong beliefs in the power of embracing diversity and take action. Our backgrounds in education, marketing and advertising, led to the development of the "Embrace Diversity" logo, "diversitypromotions.com," and "National Diversity Day." Our hope is that our logo will become the international symbol of embracing differences in our multicultural society. With this symbol to communicate diversity, we are in the process of expanding our product line of T-shirts, lapel pins, mugs, decals, temporary tattoos, etc. so that organizations, corporations, and individuals will be able to spread the word:

"Embrace Diversity, Embrace our World!"
